Serang Beach is located in Serang Village, Kec. Panggungrejo, Kab. Blitar.
The beach which is located approximately 45 km southeast of Blitar City
consists of three beach complexes. The main beach is the place to hold the
offerings ceremony every 1 Sura, while the second and third beaches are white
sand located west of the main beach with limited hills.
This beach offers a panorama of exotic black sand beaches. On the east
coast there is a viewing post which is used every year to conduct the rukyat to
determine the beginning of Ramadan.
About 50 meters from the lip of Serang Beach, there is
a fishing village flanked by hills. One of the marine products in this area is
lobster which is still traditionally caught. As with other beaches facing the
Indian Ocean, tourists are prohibited from swimming on this beach.
